Have been running almost every day to reduce weight. Now weighing 88kg. Going to lose weight till 78kg.

Thinking of Changing Job

Recently, i having been thinking of switching job. I dug out my O , A and NTU certificate and looking through internet for job vacancy. Have spoken to moon, shihan and my cousin. They are supportive since i am not very happy with my work. But father cautioned me that work is hard to find during this economy downturn. I have been thinking if i dont exit now, it would be more difficult to find job as i would be 31 soon.

Sigh.. what should i do.

IPPT Training

It seems that my IPPT training has toned down alot. I had not been exercising regularly.
I am not sure if i could pass the test.

The excuse for not training because i was bogged by tons of works.
Seeing my tummy getting bigger and bigger. Sigh.

How i wish i could excel in both work and physical fitness.

Busy Weekends for me

Lazy Weekends?
I thought i would have a lazy weekends after a week of reviewing all the paper works. It turned out to be of the opposite.

21 May 09, Saturday.

Woke up early in the morning. I went back to work to clear some of assignments that had been piled up over the week. There was much resistance to start work in the beginning. Finally, the gears moved. After the work, i went to jog in the workplace. it was very quiet.

At about 2pm, i went to Moon's house. It was a very humid day and was perspiring all over.
I was expecting to be relaxing at her house but Moon tasked me with some of her school works. Alamak!

22 Mar 09 Sunday.
Woke up early to go to Hyundai Bukit Timah to settle father's loan settlement. It took us about one hour to settle.

We went to Bukit Timah Hawker Centre to have our brunch. We saw my cousin in law selling eggs at the wet market just beneath the hawker centre. i was surprised to see her as my cousin usually distribute eggs to stalls. I guess it might due to the poor economy. Anyway, all the best to my cousin in law.

Father talked to us that Anthony had came back to singapore to raise funding for China Fund. Anthony wanted to raise about $2millions. We can't do much as father had only limited fund. As for me, i have only that much saving and required for HDB flat purchase. I guessed we could not be of much help to China Farm.

Auntie mentioned about the share in the Malaysia farm that fourth auntie might force sale of the farmland. It would take about S$100, 000 to buy her share. Wow. That was too much for me to do anything.

Spent almost an afternoon to do Moon assignment. Squeezed all my brain juice.

Moon paid for MBP!!

Moon had decided to buy her long desired Mac Book Pro.

MBP cost 3k plus!!!

Yesterday, she paid $20 for MBP at NUS computer shop.

She never broke into sweat when she signed the contract.

She is rich..

Father baking cakes again

Father had been baking cakes. Though the cakes had improved, there was only on type. Ji Dan Gao.

Reviving my HTC phone

i have left my HTC phone in drawer for quite some time. I decided to take it and explore the phone.
To be frank, i was bored. I was doing some revision for test so i decided to play with my HTC Tynt.

Past few days

Sitting in front of my computer and have decided to pen down what had happened for the past few days.

Bought E51
I bought E51 non camera finally at $320. It is brand new. I love it cos of 3.5G. It is ideal for my Starhub data sim card.

Nee Soon working
I have staying put at Nee Soon doing company project. Since my father sold 1825, i have to commute to Sembawang Country Club by bus and stride to my workplace. Damned to the weather! It had been raining and it had drenched me most of the time.

Training for IPPT
I have been training for IPPT since last week. It consists of a run of 3 - 4km follow by 3 sets of static exercise. There is a day in between training. I realised that i could not keep up training everyday cos my bones are creaking.

I visited central Taiwan on May 2008 on a business trip. I visted Dou Liu Town which was nearby my business residence.

Day Trip

I went to explore the town on a saturday. The street was crowded with all kind of stall. The advertisement boards were all hanging high on the building just like hong kong.

Night Market

There was one corner of the town which was near their town temple. I trekked my way to the night market. There were many things to eat, Lu Wei (Soy Sauce marinated Innards), Deep Fried oyaster, Papaya milk ( believe to enhance breast size) , taiwan sausage, BINGO stall and many more

Finally, it was decided. The deal was inked. We are having Hyundai Avante 1.6A. This was done at Old Holland Road Hyundai Showroom. We would be seeing our new car by end Mar 09.

Last Journey with 1825

This morning, both my father and i sent our 1825 to Turf City used car dealer shop where it spent the last day together with us. It was a cool morning. Turf City was dead quiet. Our 1825 was silent while it waited for its prospect.

It is sad to know such a nice car is going to be scapped. It has passed the 5 year mark. Strangely, i feel it is a part of family. It was my father first new car. It was bought at high price. He wanted the car to be big as he was doing buiness. Now, father has semi retired and do not have the income to pay the hefty installments. We have to let go.

Buying a new HDB flat

Moon and i have been sourcing for HDB for the past few months. We are looking at western part of Singapore. We had applied for Build To Order (BTO) in Senja Green in Bukit Panjang but was not allocated any flat. We tried CCK Sunshine Court. The result will be made known to us by end Feb 09. See picture of Sunshine Court.

The price of private property has been falling. The demand is dwindling due to the bad economy. But our HDB price is still hovering high especially for resale HDB flat. The flats near the city are going for above $600k. Wow! It is almost the price of a condominium current price.

Well, i guess we have to wait. Anyway, i am still saving up money for Moon's diamond ring.

Come to me, Babe (E51)

My E61 that was given by my brother is still hanging on. Recently, the phone just went down. No reception though the phone was on.

There was a road show conducted at my company's premise. I was excited and intending to buy. It was offering a $15 monthly bill. That works out be about $300 for the 2 year contract. It was cheaper to sign on new contract than to buy a phone without contract ($350)

However, i was not at the road show. I was away for my management retreat. Sianz. I guess i have to wait for my phone contract that is ending on Apr 09 (1 year).

I want to have one!!!

Going to Taiwan

I am going to Taiwan again for work again on the coming Apr 09. I had just returned from Taiwan last April and now I am going again. I was told that i am going to be there for 3 weeks.

I enjoy Taiwan street scene and it's mouth watering street snacks. The people, especially, the villagers are courteous to us. Taiwan's unique Ping Lang Mei Mei. Many things to explore.

However, I don't like oversea assignment because i am the sort of person who will start to miss home greatly within a week at oversea. I craved for my 3 in 1 coffee. I missed Moon. Like the trip in Australia in Nov 2007. I called her almost every night but i had to quene for sometime before i could call. My potted plants will wither as i am not around.

Anyway, wish me luck in Taiwan

4 months worth of salary into saving??

I have been reading newspapers on how badly the economy is faring. One of the journalists offered his advice to set aside about 4 months worth of saving in case of retrenchment. Should i be concerned? My sector has so far not been hit. I understand that there would be no bonus and only minimal wage increment. I guess i am safe as of now.

Though safe from work retrenchment , I have already put aside about 2.5 months of gross salary in POSB. I pondered. Am i doing the smartest thing? I could have place the money in stock to earn dividends. Just treat is fix deposit with higher interest rate. The market has been volatile. There is a risk in placing mone in stock. Unless you have the capital to buy or else it is too risky to speculate.

I have bought Singtel and ST Engineering. I am hopefully that they will pay good dividends to me.

Bye Bye 1825

It was bought at 2003. Newest and biggest car that we have bought. Loan $110K and payment to settle for 10 years. Finally, it is finding its last path to a second hand dealer f0r $38600.

Yes, we are selling our expensive car , CAMRY 2.4L. Bye bye to our servant ....
Phew, no more $1055 monthly repayment to bank..

Valentines Day at NUS... Sound biazerre?

Mr Ken Eng

Yes, it is true, moon and i went to NUS Staff Club recommended by NSman, Mr Ken Eng. Ken is the assistant manager. He is a different person when he donned a suit with a tie as compared to army wear few days ago.

The Ambience

Moon and i were the first couple to be at Sun Asian Bistro Restaurant. It was 6pm. Most of the tables were already placed with all the plates, culteries and candles. A red rose was placed on each table for all the lady guest. It was cosy place with comfortable ambience. The table arrangement was spacious and gave the couple ample room of privacy.

Lovers' meal

We ordered a chicken thigh and a salmon for the Valentine Day set menu. First, we had wild mushroom soup with a piece of garlic bread. I don't usually take mushroom soup but the smell is enticing. Within minutes, i gulped down the bowl of soup. While waiting, both of us had glasses of sparkling juice. Since it is a halal restuarant so it did not serve alcohol.

We had the main course. I had the chicken with pineapple rice. the portion was just right and tender. Moon has the Salmon with mashed potatoes. Both of us savoured our food. Moon had song dedication from moon, Heaven Knows. i liked that song. To finish the meal, we have dessert and a cup of fragant coffee.

10 Million HongBao Toto - You Won??

Well, i have placed $30 for this year Hong Bao Toto. I did not win any money.
14 people had been fortunately to share $10, 000, 000.
Unfortunately, it wasn't me.

I will never give up and try again next year.

Selling LG KS20 and Nokia N78

Moon is selling her LG KS20 and Nokia N78. Has just placed an ad for both phones. Within half hour, many buyers smsed me. But none will offer more than 210 for the phone. Have checked the second hand phone shop, most only offered 200 for each phone regardless of the warranty...

Eyeing on Hyundai Avante at $41K

Have been eyeing for a new car replacement for my father old but expensive car.

Went to Hyundai Showroom at Alexander. it is selling at $41K. It is a good car.

Headache is that we need to pay off my father's camry hefty loan. it is about 20K.

Well, i guess we need to get some more money...

After the " prison" inicident, i have decided not to use any door stopper. I have found my substitute. My shoes - Trekker Shoes. I have used it for Hokkaido. Now it is serving as door stoppers. Value for money lei.

CNY spirited Bukit Panjang Part 1

Chinese New Year is just round the corner. Bukit Panjang, my home town is decorated with colourful potted plants. Yellow , red and golden fruits all placed on the walkway along bukit panjang road.

Last day of work in my place ... in low profile

Friday was my last day in my old work place. There was no much fanfare about my leave. All my subordinates were still busying with their work.

I was still busy clearing old emails and papers that i piled up over the year. I should feel sad but i was not totally upset. All those postings to new places over the years have made me immune to this situation

I walked around looking at my subordinates...

Finally, the clock struck 6pm, my subordinates were eager to be released from work. Only a handful wished me good fortune in my new workplace. I have been wondering whether i have done my work.

My leaving of this place remained low profile... Sad.

Chinese New Year Plants

Chinese New Year is 1week from now. Everywhere is filled with CNY spirit. Economy is not doing well and everyone is worry for the job, but there is a saying, lian lian nan kuo, lian lian Kuo.

This year, i have decided to bring some flowers and plants to fill my house with CNY flavour. Bought 2 red flowers plants ($8 for 2 pots) from Sheng Shiong, 1 chrysanthemum plant ($6per pot) and a mu dan plant ($10). I did my part to spend so that others can have some earnings for CNY.

I repot the plants and also give my exisiting plants some fresh soil. Have attached a picture showing my happy plants.

Freed at last!!!!

Finally freed from home..

Yesterday, while i was repotting new plants which i bought from Sheng Shiong at ten mile junction, my house main door slam. i was inside the house when the door slammed hard. This was not the first time the door slammed hard as there was continual blowing of stong wind. I tried to open the door and found it was stucked. I tried to prise open the door but failed as there was anything i could pull from inside of the door.

I phoned my cousin, Jianxiong, for help. He was seeing doc at blk 259. While waiting for JX, i investigate what caused my door to stuck? Initially, I thought it was due to faulty lock. Alas, my door jammed by the door stopper which went in between the gap. JX came and pounded on mydoor. The door did not move. His efforts was in vain. Jianxiong approached my neighbour help. Finally after some attempting to dig the stupid door stopper, i was free!!

Waist 36" jeans!!!

I am wearing 36" jeans. I am not sure why am i wearing such a huge jeans. Perhaps i should increase my workout rate....

First week of work

Finally i have arrived to the end of the work week. I have handed over my work. Feeling relieved. I am eager to wait for new work place on the 19 Jan 09. Wish me luck

Poor Running Shoes - Worn off and Smelly!!

Finally, my shoes are giving way to my continuous running. After so many months of inactive, the shoes start to do its work.

I am happy that i stuck to my new year resolution. Run and cut down weight. However, my poor shoes, New Balance (army issued) are giving way. The soles are wearing off. The inner of the shoes has been giving off odour of fried salted fish. What the fish!!!
